Apple RoomPlan API Hopes to Advance AR

First unveiled at last month’s WWDC 2022, RoomPlan was recently used in a demo by Shopify that shows off the capabilities of the new API. Powered by ARKit, RoomPlan is a Swift API, available in beta for iOS 16, that allows developers to utilize the LiDAR Scanner and camera on iPhone and iPad to create a 3D floor plan of a room, including furniture type and dimensions.

OnTask, a workflow automation tool, has extended its API to include a new eSignature resource that enables users to add eSignature, forms, and automated workflow functionality to any website, digital technology, or app.
