Microsoft Expected to Debut New JavaScript API Supporting Custom Data Types

The Verge is reporting that Microsoft will soon release a new JavaScript Excel API that is intended to provide support for custom data types. This new API, which will be released in preview status, will enable developers to build custom functions that leverage a more broad set of data types.
