Apple Buys Popular Dark Sky Weather App, Will Kill API Next Year

Apple has done it again. The iPhone maker scooped up a beloved mobile application with plans to fold it into its own offering. Dark Sky sells for $3.99 and is popular due to its hyper-local forecasts. It's important to point out that the app is popular not only with iPhone owners but also with Android owners. Those Android-loving folks are none too happy about Apple's plans for Dark Sky.
